Inspectable directory standard
Trust should be a readable record, not an implied badge.
This file makes listing state, claim evidence, editorial review, and correction boundaries visible without turning directory status into a rating, endorsement, or promise of professional fit.
Controlled publication states
Choose the state. Then inspect the field.
Listed record
State what the status means—and what it does not.
- A record can be displayed under the current directory policy.
- The visible taxonomy fields have an identifiable record owner.
- A correction route remains available for material record updates.
- A rating, ranking, or recommendation.
- A confirmation that a professional can act on a particular matter.
- A promise of language capability, experience, availability, or outcome beyond supported fields.
The evidence belongs to the field
Publish the supported claim. Suppress the rest.
Field-level provenance prevents a polished profile from creating an unsupported impression. Missing or unverified claims are suppressed rather than inferred from biography copy.

Use the standard to control the display.

Name the state
Use a defined listing state rather than an ambiguous trust badge.
- 02
Show the field limits
Publish only claims with a matching source and review state; suppress the rest.
- 03
Keep a correction route
Make it possible to question or update a material record without implying a guarantee.
Record correction without a matter intake
Question the field. Do not share the case.
The correction route is for material directory-record issues. It is not a legal enquiry form and must never be used to send confidential client information, documents, or case facts.

Open the Counsel Finder to see why a controlled record appears and how a local shortlist stays private.
Open counsel query deskRead the professional dossier.
Use a city × practice desk to open a CMS dossier and separate structured claims from biography copy.
Open professional dossier routeKeep enquiry separate from correction.
Use guided intake for a high-level, non-confidential matter route—not for a directory correction request.

How a profile enters the directory—and what that does not mean.
Listing standards explain eligibility, review, profile quality, ordering, correction and delisting. They are a platform process, not a bar-association rule, lawyer rating or promise of outcome.
Read the relevant record, then take the next action with the boundary in view.
Directory and information platformPublic process
A profile moves through a visible review path.
The lifecycle helps users understand what the directory can check and what it cannot decide for them. It also gives lawyers clear routes for correction, updates and delisting requests.
Application
Name, firm, practice, languages, licensing information and contact pathway are provided.
Credential review
The platform assesses relevant public or supplied information for the claimed route.
Profile quality
Practice focus, location and language claims must be specific enough to support discovery.
Publish & maintain
Profiles may be rechecked, corrected, updated or removed when information changes.
Directory order
Relevance is not a paid ranking.
Directory results may reflect filters such as practice, city, language, recency and profile completeness. Organic placement is not a “best lawyer” certification. If a promotional placement exists, it should be disclosed as promotional rather than styled as independent editorial rank.
See badge meaningsNo paid organic ranking
Money does not buy a disguised editorial number-one position.
No referral markup
Clients discuss scope and fees with the lawyer they choose to contact.
No platform legal advice
Directory content and support do not replace advice from qualified counsel.
No outcome promise
No profile label guarantees suitability, response, fee level or legal result.
Send the profile URL or lawyer name, the correction you believe is needed and any public source the platform can check. This is a platform-report route, not legal advice.
Continue with the right record
The right next action starts with the right platform context.
Use the platform record, operating model, standards and policies, or support desk without mistaking directory information for legal advice.
