Can a Chinese investor establish a Peruvian company?
Generally yes, subject to the activity, vehicle, corporate registration, representation, beneficial ownership, tax, employment, licences, land and border-zone rules, sector restrictions, and other operating requirements.
Should a foreign investment be registered with ProInversión?
Registration may be relevant for investments from abroad falling within the statutory regime and for associated investor guarantees. Confirm the investment form, evidence, filing route, timing, and any stability-agreement strategy for the particular project.
Does the Peru–China FTA automatically remove import duties?
No. Preferential treatment depends on the product, current tariff schedule, origin qualification, direct shipment or transshipment rules, certification, customs declaration, and compliance with all non-tariff requirements.
