Current-law scope and cautions
- The Solid Waste Pollution Prevention and Control Law generally prohibits hazardous-waste storage exceeding one year unless approval is obtained from the competent ecology-environment authority.
- Hazardous-waste transfer uses the national transfer-manifest regime, with additional approval/filing requirements for certain cross-jurisdiction transfers.
- Waste identification, packaging, labels, ledgers and permitted disposal counterparties remain separate obligations.
