A specialist court whose jurisdiction depends on dispute type and level

The Shanghai Financial Court does not hear every dispute involving money or a financial business. The Supreme People's Court jurisdiction rules allocate specified first-instance financial civil and commercial cases, selected financial administrative cases, certain arbitration judicial-review matters and recognition or enforcement matters to this specialist court. Venue, case level, defendant, cause of action and the current jurisdiction rules must be checked together.
