Direct answer

Travel is a notary-and-registry practice question — a POA works when the office in front of you accepts it, not because a blog said so.

Overseas heirs often complete Mainland succession without flying in: a power of attorney, kinship papers and apostille, plus a PRC lawyer or relative at the notary. Some notary offices, housing bureaus and banks still insist that every heir appear, or that a POA be notarised in a specific form (including video or local notary wording). Minors and disputed estates change the answer. This is not a visa page. Do not buy tickets until the receiving office has confirmed the POA format.

Can one heir go for everyone?

Only with usable POAs from the others, and only if that office allows it.

Is a UK solicitor’s POA enough?

It still needs apostille/legalisation and Chinese text the PRC notary accepts.
